STORY
In 1945
Alfredo Martini, a young and clever man, established in Milan
the homonymous firm. It was a small workshop for plastics injection moulding.
At the beginning of its industrial activity, Martini worked on behalf of a third party and manufactured plastic
radio-set elements and television frontal frames.
In 1964
Martini decided to orientate its production to make its own
articles, and started to manufacture industrial containers, mostly designed by the owner himself.
Also the planning of the new works at Monza, which should be finished in 1967, dates back to this period.
In the meantime,
Martini himself, began projecting and creating furnishings articles, in strict
co-operation with the most renowned and experienced designers in that field. It is just thanks to such a
successful co-operation that on the occasion of the
"Plast 68"
Exhibition in Milan he deserved to win the "Oscar", for the
"Acca" armchair,
completely realized in plastic material.
At the beginning of the 70th's
Martini decided to combine the acquired experience and know how in plastic with
his beloved hobby that is sailing, and starts the development of floating pontoons. The new Marinas division
can market the first floating pontoon made in Italy with plastic floaters instead of traditional concrete ones.
TODAY
Martini Alfredo S.p.A. is continuously developing new articles to satisfy
the customer needs, all made by high class materials and up to date technologies.
Link between the past and the present is the CEO, Mrs. Carmen Rodegher, who runs the company together with
Mr Glauco Rota, General Manager, and the board driven by the President Mrs. Cristina Martini.
The heart is still the R&D department, where new solutions and technologies are duly tested prior to the
marketing phase.
Organization, planning, designing, production, sales are performed in accordance with the rules of
ISO 9001:2008 as
Martini Alfredo S.p.A.. is one of the first company who got the certification.
